While a newer home appeals to them, they are happy to consider very maintained homes that are a bit older (2x6 or better, please) also. Flexible on exact location- as long as it has a reasonable commute to UAF, they will consider most areas within a 20-25 minute drive from there.
Absolute minimums are: stable soils, 1 bedroom, 1 bath, and 800 SF of livingspace (although if that small, it has to be a good candidate for future expansion).Additional bonuses would be a super close commute to UAF, 2+ bedrooms, a garage (or two) and lots of nice wall space for art!
